There are thousands of transportation companies in Washington State. These companies have every position you can image ready to place. These job openings including but are not limited to management, HR, IT, administrative, warehouse work, forklift, mechanic, web design, cyber security, customer service…just to name a few.
With the truck driver shortage, employers in transportation are struggling to find drivers. Some are unable to find new drivers, so they are sending their current staff to CDL schools to be trained and promoted to become drivers. TPS is looking for people to fill these open positions created by the people moving from the office/warehouse into the trucks.
Many of these positions have no one applying for them. When most people think of trucking companies they only think about the drivers. Most forget about all of the people it takes to put trucks on the road.
As a nonprofit, TPS is able to help job seekers with job placement assistance at no charge. The benefit TPS enjoys, from helping people secure non driver positions with local companies, is worth more than money to us. This helps us develop relationships with local trucking companies so the sponsor of TPS, Commercial Driver School® is able to place graduates into local driving jobs instead of forcing the clients to take over the road jobs to get experience.
If you let us help you find a non-driving job, you are doing us the favor since this helps CDS with job placement assistance for its graduates.
